Half the fun is the adventure of getting here, through fertile farmlands and small villages, onto a dirt road along a waterway to a secluded cove along the river. The team is very friendly and inviting, menus and food were creative and well executed. Chalkboards contain the day's features. We had the roasted pork belly (amazing), Lula Grelhado (Squid over the fire, fresh, tender, and wonderful), and the trio Algarvio for dessert (layers of carob, fig, and Almond cake). Only open seasonally so call ahead, you should make reservations anyway. Arriving by boat on the river is the ultimate way to get there, charter from Portimao only when tides are high enough to accommodate.
