Dinner here last night was fantastic. Head and shoulders above the other Italian imposters in the area. The high rating this restaurant receives here is spot on for the quality, and the price is extremely reasonable too... A small casual setting located on a narrow side street in the center of Portimão. It's run by husband and wife combo from Mexico and Italy, she runs the front and he is the Chef. The food shows the chefs Italian roots in its authentic flavors and correct ingredients. The Pizza is a star with high quality toppings and a perfect crust with soft texture and great flavor (My new favorite in the Algarve). The Carbonara was authentic in flavor with REAL Guanciale, egg, and Pecorino cheese, the twist of the pasta being more along the lines of a Rigatoni is brilliant. The special tonight was Gnocchi with ragu was well prepared and flavorful as was the homemade Tiramisu. I hesitate to give a great review as I want to be able to get in, but the effort that they have put into this restaurant needs to be rewarded. Please go and eat here! 4.9/5.0
