Bel Mondo Italian, Portimão Portugal

Portimão is filled with out of the way gems like Bel Mondo. With a little effort you can find some of the most authentic foods in fantastic spaces tucked away in neighborhoods around town. This is one you should seek out. The dining room is bright and cheerful, the service is friendly and efficient, and the food is very good too... I'd call it Italian with a Portuguese influence rather than an authentic Italian experience. With that said the menu is fantastic. We had the Bruschetta Del Mondo with toppings of mushrooms, anchovies, tomato, and buffalo mozzarella which was good. A Margherita pizza with added mushrooms. Baked penne gratinato with tuna, mushrooms, and bacon which was just okay. 4.3/5.0
